John Marquardt has served in many capacities within the Marquardt family of businesses in the Yankton area.  He has distinguished himself as a team leader, technology strategist, transportation innovator, and customer service specialist.

When he took over operations of the grain elevator facility at Tabor.  He worked diligently to develop a new customer base for the feed products that he and his staff produced.  He also endeavored to interact with local producers to offer them a competitive price for their grain as well as a place to store their products prior to marketing them.  He ultimately earned the respect of both his customers and staff.

John is now running for County Commissioner.  He is a strong family man, active in his church and community, and is blessed with good common sense.  He is highly principled and open-minded.  He is a fiscal conservative which has served him well in his business and personal life.

John will be a good County Commissioner.  He will listen to his constituents and be an excellent custodian of taxpayer dollars.  He will search for new ideas and opportunities while at the same time maintaining those practices and procedures that are in place that make good sense for Yankton County.  We need John’s leadership now for a more positive agri-business perspective and a prosperous and safe Yankton County.
